Beasley-Gilbreath vows said Feb. 21
      Meghan Loraine Gilbreath of Tyler and Jason Scott Beasley of Jacksonville were married Feb. 21 at The Castle on the Lake. Judge James Morris officiated. The bride is the daughter of Tom and Loraine Gilbreath of Tyler; and the granddaughter of Claudette McKinney of Tyler, the late Richard Lee McKinney and Tom and Betty Gilbreath of College Station.

Educator honored
     Jacksonville Chapter of the Walter Prescott Webb Historical Society named their chapter in honor of honored retired instructor Barnwell Anderson Feb. 7. Mr. Anderson taught history and government at Jacksonville College from 1963-98. At left is Mrs. Anderson.

Lenten retreat planned
      During Lent each year, Catholics traditionally set aside time for prayer, fasting and works of mercy in preparation for Easter, said Father Mark Kusmirek of Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church in Jacksonville. A Lenten retreat is planned for Sunday, March 15- Wednesday, March 18 at the Jacksonville church.

Library sets book fair March 16-20
