These cool, crisp days take me back to 1964. I was about 11 years old, and my parents had just purchased a 100- acre farm. Dad wasn't about to be one of those guys who is "all hat and no cattle," - so he bought some mean cows and a new vehicle to survey the new land that was his. More ... Bruno: I t's been several years since I had a pet. The only animals we could have at the dorms were fish and I just never really got into fish. They seem to exist just fine without an "owner." I'm very hit and miss with cats, as well. Some like me and some don't. For instance, our office "guard cat," Ernie, spends most of her time running from me. More ... F olks along El Camino Real are as busy as they can be trying to get winter put away for good, and spring chores started. A good shower on Saturday morning helped a few folks who had some burning to do before they could get their gardens broken up for the spring planting.
