      Funeral for Ruby Fern Haws, 93, of New Summerfield was at11 a.m. Feb. 5 at Autry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Joe Pendleton, the Rev. Dr. Edwin Crank and the Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Burial was in McDonald Cemetery. Mrs. Haws died Feb. 3. She was born Nov, 12, 1915, in Bosque County to Allen Brown and Mary Lockhart Brown.

      Funeral for Alma Bernice Crews Gambrel will be held in Joliet, Ill. Mrs. Gambrel died Feb. 3 in Plainfield. She was born in Hubbard, Texas and graduated from Rusk High School. Mrs. Gambrel had resided in Joliet since 1945. She was employed as a legal secretary for many years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church for 64 years.

JAMES H. LEWIS SR.
      Graveside service for James H. Lewis Sr., 74, of Rusk was at 2 p.m., Monday at Shiloh Cemetery with the Rev. Don Copeland officiating. Mr. Lewis died Feb.6. He was born February 21, 1934. He was a lifelong resident of Rusk. Mr. Lewis received his Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Angelina College and retired twice from the State of Texas. He also served in the U.S. Army.
