      Tara Daniel, bride-elect of James Newman, was honored with a wedding shower Dec. 6, 2008, at the home of Sarah Selden in Tyler. Christmas trees, snowmen, and Santa Clauses added a seasonal décor to the many gifts displayed throughout the house.

Brooks-Culp
     Jeana Pierce Brooks and Richard Culp announce their upcoming marriage on March 14. She is the daughter of JoAnn Pierce of Tyler, formerly of Jacksonville, and the late Charles Pierce. He is the son of Danny and Sherry Culp of Crockett. Ms. Brooks worked as district administrator for Rep. Chuck Hopson and is now the president of the Crockett Area Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Culp is employed as an electrician for Conam in Alaska.
