Lone Star Express softball team claims 12 and under district title
Rusk softball team advances to state competition; carwash fundraiser is Saturday

The Lone Star Express, 12 and under girls softball team from Rusk, breezed through the post season district tournament in Whitehouse recently.

They now advance to state championship tournament play in West.

The undefeated Lone Star Express will be holding a car wash fundraiser at the Weston Inn & Suites parking lot on Saturday July 19 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Donations are accepted and would be greatly appreciated. All funds raised will be used to help offset the costs of playing in the state tournament.

"These girls have a huge heart for softball and will play hard for the championship," said Coach Brian Townsend.
