Alto track stars run at state

PHOTOS: ROBERT HAHN Alto's 4x100-meter relay team of Javante Jones, Demarcus Griffin, Brandon Thacker and Devon Patton took third place in the state track meet held in Austin Friday. The team finished the 400-meter race in 43.77 seconds. The Alto l Lady Jackets 4x100-meter relay team of Taneshia Pope, LaShundra Gasaway, LaQuendal Tyler and Katina Sturns (not pictured) took sixth place at the state track meet in Austin, completing the 400-meter race in a time of 51.07 seconds. They also took eighth place in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:51.67 Alto's 4x400 relay team of Hayden Scott, D'Marcus Tyler, Kliton Wade and Jordan Shaw took seventh place at the state track meet held in Austin. The team ran the 1600-meter race in 3:33.50.
