TSR honors vets

Visitors to the Texas State Railroad will have the opportunity to experience flying in a UH-1E Huey helicopter such as the one pictured here during Armed Forces Weekend to be held May 16-18 at the Palestine depot. Other activities for Armed Forces day will include: a military armament train exhibit, small arms demonstrations, mock World War II battles, a 20mm gun mount display from Battleship Texas and living history exhibits from various eras of U.S. Military history. Armed Forces Weekend is held annually at the Texas State Railroad to honor all U.S. soldiers, past and present.
