$600 check goes to junior history club

A check for $600 is presented to officers of the New Summerfield Junior Historians by members of the Cherokee County Historical Commission. Historical Commission members are Jim Cromwell, vice-chair; Terry Guinn, chair; and Elizabeth McCutcheon, secretary. The money will go toward a trip to Austin and San Antonio by the junior historians. They are wearing their official t-shirts. The New Summerfield Junior Historians stand beneath the arch for the old New Summerfield school. The organization is the only junior historian chapter in Cherokee County. The school's historical marker is at left.
