Kendrick finishes trooper school

Eric P. Kendrick graduated from the Texas Department of Public Safety's Training Academy March 28th
The trooper began the 28- week academy in September. Instruction covered more than 100 subjects, including counter-terrorism, traffic and criminal law, arrest and control procedures, accident reconstruction and Spanish. He also received training in extensive use of force, communication skills, firearms, driving, criminal interdiction, cultural diversity and physical fitness training
Trooper Kendrick has been assigned to the Texas Highway Patrol in Athens. He is a 2007 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a bachelors degree in criminal justice. He began working at the Nacogdoches City Police Department as the SFA Criminal Justice Department intern in 2005.
In June 2007, he began his internship with the De- partment of Public Safety in Nacogdoches and Lufkin until he began the Academy in Austin.
Trooper Kendrick is the son of Paul and Kathy Kendrick of Nacogdoches. Grandparents are Weldon and Ruth Pringle of Alto and Gene and Mavonee Kendrick of Conroe.
