Funeral for Sybil Myrlene Burt, 79, of Tyler, formerly of Alto will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Hilltop Baptist Church with Pastor David Mahfood officiating. Burial will be in the Alto City Cemetery.

Mrs. Burt died April 27. She was born July 1, 1928, in Alto to Willis and Pearl Monk Bland. She lived most of her life in Tyler.

She was a member of the Tyland Baptist Church in Tyler. She is preceded in death by her husband Morris Burt.

Survivors are sons and daughters-in-law, Keith Burt and his fiancé Patty McLeod of Austin, Steve and Linda Burt of Katy, Roger and Kay Burt of Whitehouse, Mark and Becky Burt of Tyler; brother and sister-in-law, James and Carol Bland of Tyler; a sister,Edith Coco of Beaumont; grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Jason, Jonathan and Kent; special friend, Kathy Rogers of Tyler; numerous other relatives and friends.
