Westbrook graduates

basic training

Army Pvt. Michael L. Westbrook has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission and received training in drill and ceremonies, Army history, core values, traditions, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, rifle marksmanship, weapons use, map reading, land navigation, foot marches, armed and unarmed combat, and field maneuvers.

Pvt. Westbrook is the son of Robert P. Westbrook of Autumn Lane, and Jody D. Westbrook of John St., both of Jacksonville.

The private is a 2007 graduate of Jacksonville High School.

McCullough graduates Air

Force basic training

Airman Gregory T. McCullough has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, military customs, courtesies, performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training and special training in human relations.

He is the son of Kathleen Mc- Cullough of Rural Route 11, and Royce McCullough of County Road 3211, both of Jacksonville.

McCullough is a 2007 graduate of Jacksonville High School.
