Rusk football schedule released

The 2008 Rusk football schedule was released last week. Rusk will open the regular season at home against the Palestine Wildcats, Aug. 29. The Eagles will also be at home for their second game of the season against the Van Vandals on Sept. 5. Rusk will be on the road two weeks in a row after that, starting Sept. 12 in Gladewater and then Sept. 19 in Fairfield. The following week will be homecoming for Rusk, with the Bullard Panthers in town Sept. 26. Following their bye week, the Eagles will open district play on the road in Huntington Oct. 10. Carthage will be in town for the first district home game Oct. 17, and the Eagles will travel to Center Oct. 24. The last road game of the year is scheduled for Halloween, as Rusk travels south to Jasper. The regular season finale will be in Rusk against Diboll Nov. 7.
