The Cherokee Civic Theater will present the world premier of a new musical, "Lost Socks." The production is a contemporary musical drama, with song selections ranging from power ballad to rock and roll, telling a story of love, loss and redemption, all inside an inner city Laundromat.

Show dates are 7:30 p.m. April 25-26 and May 2-3 and 2 p.m. April 27 and May 4.

"Lost Socks" is written by local playwright, Minette Satterwhite Trent. Mrs. Trent has also written previous shows "Baloney on Red, White and Blue" and "Confederate Spaghetti."

Finding their way back to themselves and to each other takes time and forgiveness. Supporting characters are Lisa, played by Castanya Breen and Chess, played by Tim Howell. With a brand new story, brand new music and lots of new faces to the stage, "Lost Socks" promises to be a fun frolic, a tearjerker and a lovely evening for patrons of the Cherokee Civic Theater, said Mrs. Trent
