Running down a dream

Jose Leon of Alto runs to victory in the 3,200-meter run during the Doug Jordan Relays at Eagle Stadium Thursday. Leon won first place in the 3,200-meter run and second place in the 1,600-meter run. Tony Torres of Rusk runs the 3,200-meter run at the Doug Jordan Relays. Torres placed third in the event, contributing to Rusk's second place showing in the boys varsity division of the track meet. Chelsea Kinser of Rusk keeps pace during the m 3,200-meter run in the girls varsity division of the Doug Jordan Relays Thursday. Kinser placed fourth in the event, helping Rusk earn a third place team showing out of seven teams competing. Maria Ramirez of Jacksonville finishes second l place in the 3,200-meter run at the Doug Jordan Relays at Rusk High School. Ramirez also placed second in the 1,600 meter run, finishing behind team mate Anna Rodriguez in both events. Jacksonville finished second overall in the girls varsity division, which featured Carthage, Jacksonville, Rusk, Alto, Beckville, Central and Laneville.
