RAYE G. ALLEN SR.

Graveside service for Raye G. Allen Sr., 84, of Jacksonville, was at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Henry Cemetery at Gallatin with Al Parr officiating.

Mr. Allen died March 29. He was born May 19, 1923, in Jacksonville to Edgar Demoss Allen and Pearlie Louise Allen. Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Edgar W. Allen and a sister, Louise Ray.

Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Jean Allen of Jacksonville; a son and daughter-inlaw, Raye G. Jr. and Pamela Allen of Gallatin; a daughter, Lori Jean McClosky of Rusk; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Robert K and June Allen of Norman, Okla., Francis L. Allen and Earle L. and Bonnie Allen, all of Jacksonville; a brotherin law and wife, Douglas and Betty Cotton of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Brian Mc- Closky, Crystal McClosky and Laura McClosky, all of Rusk, Kent Doss of Jacksonville and Jana Worley and husband, Tim of Bullard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers were Brian McClosky, Kent Doss, Troy Allen, Jim Harper, Deaton Goff, Russell Stafford, Justin Yeley, Jamie Oliver and E.N. (Pete) Young.

Honorary pallbearers were care givers from Jacksonville Health Care Center and Hospice of East Texas.
