Interview process for scholarships begins
Rusk Alumni Association will interview Rusk High School students for $1,000

The Rusk High School Alumni Association (RHSAA) will soon begin interviewing and selecting applicants for seven $1,000 scholarships to deserving 2008 seniors.

Endowments for these scholarships are:

• Sartain family in memory of Tom Sartain

• Joe Donald and BeBe Hubbard in memory of Paul and Alton Hubbard

• Max Schochler in memory of his parents, Laura and Harmon Schochler

• The estate of Moss Hassell in memory of his parents, Judge Morris W. and Mauriete Hassell

• Sarah Summers and children, Jim, Sally and Suzie, in memory of Frank Summers

• Friends of Chris Waddell in his memory

• RHSAA in memory of one of its founders, Frank Madden.

In order to introduce 2009 graduates to the purposes and benefits of RHSAA, a party with food and fun activities, including door prizes, is scheduled for the junior class on Saturday, April 26.

RHSAA will also host its biennial All Class Reunion Oct. 17-18. All former RHS students are encouraged to send their address update to the RHSAA, P.O. Box 711, Rusk 75785 so they can receive the reunion announcement. Email updates may be mailed to FMmadden@aol.com or carrottop4@juno.com.
