LEOLA HAUGHBROOK REDD Funeral for Leona Haughbrook Redd, 72, of Jacksonville, was at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Sweet Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Horace Williams, the Rev. S.A. Miles, the Rev. David Moore, the Rev. M.L. Parson, the Rev. Julia Session and the Rev. Dr. Charles Walls officiating. Mrs. Redd died Thursday. She was born April 1, 1935, in Cherokee County. She attended Statnot High School in Bullard. She was a member of the Sweet Union Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board, president of the pastor's aid and a member of the Missionary Circle No. 2. Survivors are two sons, Billy Redd and Bobby Redd, both of Jacksonville; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda and Derrell Thompson and Carolyn Redd, all of Jacksonville and Debra and Karl Boss of Dallas; and two brothers and a sisterin law, Worthy and Bertha Wilson of Tyler and James Wilson of San Antonio. Pallbearers were John Robertson, Clayton Johnson, Cody Redd, Derrick Redd, Demarcus Session and Jonathan Robertson. Honorary pallbearers were Darrell Thompson, Joe Redd, Herbert Jones, Marvin Mallard, Cory Redd and Chris Redd. Williams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
