Forest landowners meet April 12

The Trinity-Neches Forest Landowners Assn. (TNFLA) will hold its spring meeting at 8:30 p.m. April 12 at the Athens, Texas Freshwater Fishery in Henderson County.

Discussion topics include water rights issues, oil/pipeline easements and the forest landowner, Certified Steward Award presentations and an overview of the fishery.

Speakers will include personnel from the Texas Forest Service, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Roy Rodgers with the Trinity-Neches Groundwater Conservation District and Billy Lemons, consulting forester.

Following the meeting, there will be a tour of the Texas Freshwater Fishery. A catered barbecue lunch will be provided for $5 per attendee.

TNFLA is a non-profit organization that serves forest landowners in Anderson, Cherokee, Henderson, Freestone, and Leon counties. Mission is to encourage and assist in the development of the full potential of forestry in the counties served.
