Wells man receives honor
Seth Hamilton was inducted into the Alpha Chi National College Honor Scholarship Society Feb. 22. Membership in Alpha Chi is the highest recognition that Stephen F. Austin State University can confer upon a student.

What separates Alpha Chi from other college honor societies is that membership is obtained by invitation only.

Mr. Hamilton is in the top 10 percent of students at SFA and was one of the select few that was chosen on his academic excellence.

Mr. Hamilton was also chosen for his other outstanding achievements, leadership skills and character. Mr. Hamilton is a senior environmental geology major and will pursue his masters degree. He was valedictorian at Wells High School in 2003.

His parents are Charles and Shirley Hamilton.

His grandparents were the late Jake and Carrie Hamilton of Alto.
