Doug Jordan Relays set for March 27
Cherokeean Herald to offer full coverage

The Doug Jordan Relays will be held the afternoon of Thursday, March 27, at Eagle Stadium on the campus of Rusk High School.

The Doug Jordan Relays is an annual track meet involving several area high school varsity and junior varsity track teams.

Past participants include Rusk, Alto, Jacksonville, Henderson and Hallsville.

The Cherokeean Herald will feature three full pages of coverage of the Doug Jordan Relays in the April 2 issue.

Doug Jordan Relays named

for popular Eagle coach

The Doug Jordan Relays are named after the late Rusk Eagle Coach Doug Jordan.

Mr. Jordan was the head football coach for the Rusk Eagles from 1968-1971. He is also honored by having an award named after him at the Rusk All-Sports Banquet. His family still resides in Rusk, making contributions to the Eagle athletic program.

The Doug Jordan Relays will feature all track and field events, from relays to races and field events.
