LAURA MAE HICKS

Funeral for Laura Mae Hicks, 72, of Rusk, was at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Mount Olive Baptist Church. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Hicks died Feb. 20. She attended Grapeland public schools and was a housekeeper and a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Lonzo Hicks of Rusk; four sons, Johnny Hicks, Charles Hicks, Bobby Hicks and Thomas Hicks, all of Rusk; three daughters, Charlene Mitchell of Alto, Shirley Hicks and Christene Hicks, both of Rusk; five brothers, Nathaniel Johnson, Crevesta Johnson, Gene Johnson, Frank Johnson and Michael Wayne Johnson, all of Houston; two sisters, Doris J. Calhoun and Glenda Johnson, both of Houston; 16 grandchildren; and 18 greatgrandchildren.

Arrangements were under the direction of Mercy/Mc- Gowan Funeral Directors.
