JISD plans summer credit by exam tests

Senate Bill 1 requires all Texas school districts to offer three testing days twice a year for the administration of examinations for acceleration to all students who wish to earn credit without prior instruction.

Jacksonville ISD offers these exams through Region VII Service Center. The exams are approved by the state and written by the University of Texas at Austin. They are given for grades 1-12. The dates for the exams are June 10, 11 and 12 and July 9, 10 and 11. Any parent interested in receiving information about the credit by exam/examination for acceleration should contact the counselor at their child's school.
