Grand jury returns 19 indictments

Indictments returned by a Cherokee County Grand Jury on Feb. 26 included one aggravated sexual assault of a child, one sexual assault, three assaults, two possessions of controlled substances, five thefts, three for driving while intoxicated, two burglaries and two forgeries.

Indictments included:

•David Ebanez, 36, of Jacksonville, charged with aggravated assault enhanced on Sept. 7, 2007

•Brandon Gholston, 31, of Rusk, charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child on May 1, 2007

•Prentice Holland, 35, of Bullard, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on Jan. 22, 2007

•Arthur Overstreet, 36, of Rusk, charged with assault caused bodily injury, family violence enhanced on May 5, 2007

•Carlos Battle, 23, of Jacksonville, charged with possession of a controlled substance on Aug. 28, 2007

•Joshua Rains, 22, of Wells, charged with theft on April 11, 2007

•Randal Grimes, 19, of Wells, charged with theft on April 11, 2007.

•Eddie Holt, 19, of Wells, charged with theft on April 11

•Willie Fry, 54, of Jacksonville, charged with DWI, third or more offense on Jan. 2

•Antonio Borja, 48, of Jacksonville, charged with DWI, third or more offense on Oct. 27, 2007

•Boby Askew, 21, of Jacksonville, charged with possession of a controlled substance on June 6, 2007

•Donald Young, 42, of Rusk, charged with burglary of a building on Jan. 17

•Anthony Giaccone, 39, charged with two counts of forgery, both on Nov. 12, 2007

•Ricky Schakosky, 21, of Caralton, charged with theft on June 22, 2007

•Wilson Dillingham III, 43, of Jacksonville, charged with burglary of a habitation on Jan. 4

•Jeffery Derr, 50, of Palestine, charged with theft and evading arrest on Dec. 13, 2007

•Two unnamed indictments were returned on charges of DWI, three or more times on June 30, 2007, and sexual assault on Jan. 7.
