Mark Lanier sings at Rusk church

MARK LANIER
Mark Lanier will be presented in concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 15 at Memorial Missionary Baptist Church. He will sing with a live band. Mr. Lanier is noted composer and many of his songs are known as gospel classics. He started singing at the age of four in his local church at Central, Ala. He and his brothers, Jeff and Kevin, were in the choir while their father directed the music and their mother played the piano.

He has been a cast member of Opryland's "Country Music USA" and "Today Country Roads." Currently he works as a solo artist. He spent seven years with Perfect Heart and the last three years with Poet Voices.

He was a top five nominee for favorite baritone seven years in a row.

He has ministered in Scotland, Ireland, England, Canada, The Bahamas and has songs on TBN, GMT, TNN, ISPN, The National Quartet Convention and the Bill Gaither Homecoming as well as others.

He and his wife of 19 years, Paula, and sons, Jacob, nine and John Mark, three, live in Ball, La.
