      I am so disappointed with the decision to remove Coach Wayne Mahaffey as athletic director at Rusk High School. I know the avid sports fans may disagree with me, and I know I am opening myself up to all sorts of criticism. But, I want to express my opinion.

      Retail sales in December are helping give a jump start to the most recent sales tax reports released by the state comptroller's office. For purchases made during December, all cities in Cherokee County, with the exception of Cuney and New Summerfield, posted increases.
