Famous, resilient engine visits Texas State Railroad
Little Engine That Could to run in March

The historic Texas State Railroad that has recently chanted the famous saying "I think I can! I think I can!" is bringing The Little Engine That Could™ Rail Tour to Texas!

This famous engine is coming to the Texas State Railroad Palestine Depot March 7-9. Families will enjoy a 30-minute train ride, meet characters from the book, listen to live musical entertainment, enjoy fun children's games and activities, and more.

Parents, grandparents and children will experience a full day of fun family activities.

The Little Engine That Could™ is recognized for promoting the power of positive thought, motivating us to be all we can be and gives us the courage to try.

The Little Engine That Could™ Rail Tour will be traveling across the country, greeting boys and girls throughout the United States at participating railroads. She is coming to Texas for the first time this spring.

This life-size replica locomotive patterned after the original illustrations for the classic children's book by Watty Piper will chug along the tracks where you will hear her whistle blow, brass bell ring and steam hiss, all while repeating her courageous refrain.

Friday, March 7 train runs will be: 11:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

Saturday, March 8 train runs will be: 10:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 2:30 p.m. & 3:15 p.m.

Train runs on Sunday, March 9 will be: 11:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
