Rusk Eagles to open baseball season Tuesday

The Rusk Eagles will open baseball season at home against the Elkhart Elks Tuesday. The game will be played at 6 p.m. at Eagle Field on the campus of Rusk High School.

Rusk went 5-9 in District 20-3A last season and lost five players to graduation over the summer. Elkhart is a traditional baseball powerhouse.

The Eagles will then host Palestine Feb. 26 and Jacksonville Feb. 28. Rusk is coached by George Banda.
