R. E. RAWLINSON Graveside service for Roy Earl Rawlinson, 88, of Jacksonville, was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at McDonald Cemetery with the Rev. Donny Sadler officiating. Mr. Rawlinson died Feb. 4. He was born Nov. 11, 1919, in Maydelle to Walt and Buna Rawlinson. He retired from General Refratories in Troup as a brick contractor. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudie Dee Rawlinson; sons, Randy Lynn Rawlinson and Joe Frank Rawlinson; and a daughter, Cynthia Littlejohn. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Becky Rawlinson of New Summerfield; a sister, Betty Lou Chanell of Cushing; five grandchildren, Michelle Arnold, Stephen Fuentes, Amber Rawlinson, Jonathan Rawlinson and April Rawlinson; and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bruce Ivy, Richard Bird, Tim Tipton, Johnny Birdwell, Eddie Birdwell and James Arnold. |
