Grand jury indicts 22 A Cherokee County Grand Jury returned 22 indictments Jan. 28. Indicted were:; Justin Vaughn, 18, of Rusk, charged with burglary of a habitation on Dec. 5, 2007; Melvin Shedd, 37, of Jacksonville, charged with credit/debit card abuse on May 21, 2007; Gregory Franklin, 32, charged with possession of controlled substance- habitual on July 20, 2007; Sandi Smith, 33, of Jacksonville, charged with forgery on Dec. 6, 2005; Ramon Uribe, 22, of New Summerfield, charged with count 1 aggravated assault family violence and count II sexual assault on Jan. 7, 2007, and also indicted for possession of a controlled substance on Jan. 7, 2007; Edward Milton, 42, of Jacksonville, charged with assault family violence- enhanced on Dec. 12, 2007, Marilyn Colorado, 23, of Jacksonville, charged with injury to a child on Nov. 22, 2007; Name unavailable for count 1 aggravated sexual assault of a child and count II indecency with a child by contract on Jan. 18, 2002; Name unavailable for sexual assault of a child on June 22, 2007; Thomas Elledge, 30, of Jacksonville, charged with sexual assault of a child on May 4, 2007 ; Belvis Singletary, 32, of Rusk, charged with possession of a controlled substance on Sept. 28, 2007; Larry Reneau, 45, of Jacksonville, charged with possession of controlled substance- enhanced on Aug. 1, 2007; Steven Dunlap, 21, of Chandler, charged with burglary of a habitation on Nov. 22, 2007; Matthew Morris, 24, of Jacksonville, charged with driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 on Nov. 4, 2008; Farron Cobb, 46, of Jacksonville, charged with driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 on June 1, 2007; Christopher Neece, 24, of Fort Worth, charged with DWI third or more offense on Nov. 8, 2007; Name unavailable for charges of failure to appear on Jan. 2; Name unavailable for charges of theft over $1,500 on Sept. 12, 2007; Name unavailable for charges of theft over $1,500 on Jan. 14. |
