Moody Glass seeks Pct. 3 re-election
He and his wife, Patricia have been married for 34 years and have two children. Their son, Matt and his wife, Kristy, are teachers. Their daughter, Elizabeth is a Registered Nurse at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. Mr. and Mrs. Glass also have a grandson, Dylan. Mr. Glass is a lifetime Cherokee County resident. He is a Jacksonville High School graduate and has an associate degree from Tyler Junior College. He was employed for 24 years at Kelly Springfield Goodyear in Tyler prior to taking medical retirement in 1997 after ungoing five back surgeries. He served for nine years on the Jacksonville ISD board of trustees from 1989-99. Mr. Glass is certified by the American Red Cross as a shelter manager serving during Katrina and Rita in that capacity. He and his family worship at the Rusk Church of Christ, where he serves as a shepherd. "I have enjoyed serving on the Cherokee County Commissioners Court," Mr. Glass said. He represents Cherokee County on the Economic Development board of directors for East Texas Council of Governments. |
