Couple will wed

Vivian Pope, Reginald McGowan II

The engagement of Vivian Lee Ann Pope and Reginald McGowan II has been announced. The couple will be married at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at the New Hope Baptist Church in Alto.

She is the daughter of Angela Moore and Roy Pope and Kimberly Pope. Her grandparents are Jack and Alberta Pope and J.B and Jessie Moore, all of Alto.

Mr. McGowan is the son of Reginald McGowan I of Tyler and Kathy Harris of Rusk and the late Eddie Harris. His grandparents are Walter and Maxine Session of Rusk and the late Jessie McGowan and Novaline McGowan.

Miss Pope is a graduate of Alto High School, Tyler Junior College and East Texas School of Nursing. She is a LVN employed at Lufkin State School. Mr. McGowan is a graduate of Rusk High School, Sam Houston State University and is employed at Lufkin ISD as a physical education and track coach.
