Karing for Kids Health Fair is Saturday at civic center

Karing for Kids Health Fair will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Rusk Civic Center. The event is coordinated by the Rusk Kiwanis Club, assisted by various community organizations, who met Jan. 29 to finalize plans.

Children,10 and younger, and their parents will receive health and safety information at the fair. "During the day Superman and Spiderman will visit to make sure everyone is having a good time. There will be door prizes including tickets for Texas State Railroad and Culpepper & Merriweather Circus," said Kelley Garner, Kiwanis' club president. The Kiwanis Club is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. The Rusk club meets at noon every Tuesday at Southern Cherokee Federal Credit Union and is open to new members. Contact Judy Garner at (903) 683- 2414 for additional information.
