CHARLES EDWARDS GILL

Graveside service for Charles Edwards Gill, 87, of New Summerfield was at 2 p.m. Saturday at McDonald Cemetery, with the Rev. Hank Chandler officiating. Mr. Gill died Jan. 24. He was born Aug. 13, 1920, the fourth child of J. W. and Mertis Edwards Gill. He was a farmer and a Methodist.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Marilyn Tipton Gill of New Summerfield; his son, Charles Lynn Gill of New Summerfield; granddaughter, Rachel Gill of Austin; grandson, Joshua Gill of Cincinnati, Ohio and great-grandson, Ian Whitfield of Austin. Pallbearers were Bill Poteet, Dick Sessions, Merle Duty, Gary Don Davis, Charlie Emerson and Tim Tipton. Honorary Pallbearers were Bill Tipton, Billy Powell, B.R. Darby, Don Darby, Junior Brown, William Waldrop, Bruce Ivy, Bobby D. Caveness and J.O. Martin. Arrangements were under the direction of Autry Funeral Home.
