Alto girls win two consecutive basketball games
      The Alto Lady Jackets basketball team defeated the Latexo Lady Lions 48-39 Friday in Latexo. Lead scorer for Alto was Amber Morrison with 13 points, followed by Kaylan Thacker (12), Katina Sturns (10), Teoshue Badgett (9), La Quendal Tyler (3) and Coresa Poole (1).

      A controversial call en route to the Rusk Eagles' 52-46 loss to Carthage, along with a freak accident in the girls JV game added up to a long night for Rusk basketball. The controversial call came during the boys varsity game between the Rusk Eagles and the Carthage Bulldogs.
