COMING If Walls Could Talk' television show seeks historic homes with a story
Do you live in an old, historic home and ever think that it has a story to tell?
If you share your story with High Noon Entertainment, you could be featured in a popular television series, "If Walls Could Talk," on HGTV.
The show will be shooting episodes within a two-hour radius of Shreveport, La. in coming weeks, and will spotlight homes with intriguing pasts and unusual stories.
Now in production on its ninth season, the weekly series will begin with new homeowners who make surprising historical discoveries about their homes as they explore and restore them. A lucky few will be amazed to learn that the historic artifacts they've discovered are worth a fortune when the "If Walls Could Talk" appraiser drops by for a look.
As an example of a recent episode, a Connecticut family moved into a neglected 1800s Victorian home and discovered original paintings worth thousands of dollars tucked away in the attic.
In another episode, a New York bachelor bought a 100-year-old mansion and made a chilling discovery in the basement - his home sweet home used to be a funeral home.
In a real who-dunnit, a Colorado couple found books, clothing and jewelry in their new home. The clues added up to the story of a best-selling author who lived in the house until she disappeared.
"If Walls Could Talk" is produced for HGTV by High Noon Entertainment in Denver, Colo.
