Ruskite's brother joins President's peace plan

President George W. Bush has named Lt. Gen. William Fraser III, brother of Jeanette Goldsberry of Rusk, to monitor Israeli-Palestinian implementation of the long-stalled "road map" peace plan.

The road map underpins the President's renewed push for an agreement to create a Palestinian State. It calls on Israel to halt all settlement activity and for the Palestinians to rein in militants.

Prior to this latest assignment, Gen. Fraser has served as Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Mrs. Goldsberry, wife of Rusk Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Bob Goldsberry, is a facility investigator for adult protective services.
