BILL QUINN
Graveside service for retired Texas Ranger William F. (Bill) Quinn, 83, of Rusk was at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 3 at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Greg Gunter officiating.

Mr. Quinn died December 31, 2007. He was born Nov. 17, 1924, in Trinidad, TX to Carey W. and Mattie Pearl Fuqua Quinn. He was a resident of Rusk for 28 years and was a member of Church On The Rock in Rusk. He graduated from Trinidad High School in 1942 and he attended two years of college at LeTourneau College in Longview. Mr. Quinn became a Texas Highway Patrolman Aug. 1, 1948, and a Texas Ranger in Navasota in 1970. He retired as a Texas Ranger in 1988. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Zelma Quinn of Rusk; three daughters, Rhonda Morrow of Niagra Falls, N.Y., Neweta Rash of Childress, and Vicki Stubblefield of Austin; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

If desired, memorials may be made to Cal Farley Boys Ranch or charity of choice.

Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home was in charge.
