J. Jackson seeks constable Pct. 2

Jeremy Jackson has announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for Cherokee County Constable Precint 2.

Mr. Jackson is currently working with his family in their local business, Leo Hicks Creosoting Co. Mr. Jackson attended the East Texas Police Academy in November 2004. Following graduation he started working for the City of Alto in which he served as a patrolman until December 2005 when he accepted a position with the Rusk Police Department.

He worked full-time for the City of Rusk until June 2007. While serving with the City of Alto and the City of Rusk, Mr. Jackson participated in drug interdiction, accident investigation, criminal investigation and warrant service.

Mr. Jackson is currently serving on the Alto Police Department as a reserve officer.

Mr. Jackson has enjoyed living in Precinct 2 his entire life.

He and his wife, Holly, and their children regularly attend Hilltop Baptist Church in Alto.

Mr. and Mrs. Jackson are members there and teach the kindergarten- second grade Sunday school class.

"If elected I will be a fulltime proactive constable. I will strive to do my very best to protect and serve the citizens of Cherokee County Precinct 2.

"I will also work hand and hand with all law enforcement agencies within the precinct. I appreciate your support in the up coming election," Mr. Jackson said.
