Rusk 1st Baptist hosts evangelism conference

The Rusk First Baptist Church will host the annual Cherokee Evangelism Conference Jan. 13-16. Kicking off the conference will be Don Cass, evangelism director for the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan.13. The Rev. Cass will also preach at a noon luncheon Monday, Jan. 14.

Junior Hill of Hartselle, Ala. will preach at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14. The Rev. Hill has been in evangelism for more than 40 years, preaching at more than 1,400 revivals. He also has served as vice-president of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Herb Reavis, pastor of North Jacksonville Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Fla., will also preach. Both men will preach each evening at 7 p.m. Jan.14- 16. Noon luncheons will be held with a message from one of the evangelists. Each service will begin with special music. The renowned Singing Men of East Texas will present a concert Tuesday evening.
