Mike Miller, band members present musical program for meeting

Mike Miller, assistant band director with high school students Rebecca Robbins, David Robbins, Joey Marchetti and Andrew Bennette played Christmas music for the Lions Club. The songs played were "Oh Come all Ye Faithful," "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," "Joy to the World," "Silent Night," "Oh Little Town of Bethlehem," "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear," "Good Christian Men Rejoice," "Angels We Have Heard on High," "Deck the Halls," "Jingle Bells," "Up on the Housetop," "We Wish You a Merry Christmas," "Jolly Old St. Nicholas," "What Child is This" and "The Holly and the Ivy."

The Christmas songs they played were enjoyed by all present and some of the Lions Club members joined in the singing.

The drawing for the grocery raffle conducted by the Lions Club and Brookshire Bros. was held. Winners were Prescription Pharmacy, $25; Tom McDonald, $50; Gloria Jennings, $75; and Lynn McClean, $100.

Members were informed that the total funds raised for the Lions Club from the Raffle Ticket Sales amounted to $1,441 to support Lionism.

Guests were Pam Whadford, Alicia Oliver, Boots Burfoot and Don Gregg.

An expression of sympathy was extended to Lion Dan West and his wife for the loss of their daughter this week.
