Theatre slates basket raffle
     Leslie Hassell has donated a Longaberger Basket to the Cherokee Civic Theatre to be raffled. Cast members of "Alice in Wonderland" will sign the basket and the name of the winner will be announced during the last performance of the production on Dec. 13. Tickets are three for $5.       FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers in East Texas closed Nov. 21. The centers served residents in Cherokee, Grimes, Houston, Madison, Montgomery, Walker, Waller and Washington Counties. Assistance to local counties include $30,539.27 assisted in Cherokee County with 1,106 persons registering and $473,562.53 going to housing assistance.
