Rusk Primary School students learn of 1st Thanksgiving

Youngsters in CJ Simpson's class at Rusk Primary School spend time painting posters. These students include Dalton Martin, Daniel Bartley, Tawokoni Cook, Heather Watson, Jonah Swearingen and Ariana Skinner. Little Emilee Garner, Rusk Primary School kindergarten student gets her face painted for a Thanksgiving feast. Students dressed as Indians for the dinner at noon Nov. 20. Teacher, Shirley Goldsberry, is the face painter. Pre-K students at Rusk Primary School learn first hand about the first Thanksgiving in America. These youngsters were dressed in Indian costumes to enjoy their Thanksgiving feast. Youngsters are Micala Upshaw, Elijaih Cook, Brianna Haney, Zoe Fortune and Dakota Roach. Indians Makala Willems and Cristina Ontiveros, kindergarten students of Jan Hooten, take time out to play.
