$500 gift
     l David Wilson, regional manager of Rudy's Convenience stores presents a check for $500 to Rusk ISD Superintendent Dr. James Largent. The check is part of the Exxon/Mobil Educational Alliance program, which allows local retailers, such as Rudy's, to invest in the future of Rusk through educational grants. Rusk ISD had to meet stringent elegibility criteria in order to be selected for the grant.

     The Jacksonville College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Beta Alpha, held induction ceremonies for new pledges Thursday, Oct.16. Phi Theta Kappa is the national honor fraternity for junior college students. The national headquarters are based in Jackson, Miss.
