Patron drive completed
The patron drive for the Stella Hill Memorial Library was a huge success this year. All the members of the Alto Thursday Study Club worked to acquire necessary funds needed to support the library for the next year. The Rusk Church of Christ has resumed its Pioneer Club from 7-8 p.m. each Wednesday. The club is for children ages two through high school. The church membership invites all area children to join. Funeral for Sherry Lee Turner, 46, of Rusk was at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Walker Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Walles officiating. Mrs. Turner died Aug. 29. She was born Aug. 20, 1962 in Kewanee, Ill. She was a resident of Rusk for 13 months and formerly lived in Reklaw, Arizona, and Illinois. More...
