      The Alto Yellowjackets haven't lost to a football opponent since Nov. 16, 2005 when they fell to the Mart Panthers in the bi-district round of the playoffs. On Aug. 12, the Yellowjackets met an opponent that they could not defeat: Mother Nature.

East Texas doctor runs 50 miles in frigid conditions

      D r. Mark Morris raced across the sky in Leadville, Colo. on Aug. 16-17. Unfortunately, his time in the sky was shorter than he would have liked. Despite finishing 50 miles of the Leadville Race Across the Sky 100 mile ultramarathon, Dr. Morris missed the 50-mile cutoff time of 14 hours by a total of five minutes.
