Cherokee County schools schedule registration
      Cherokee County schools will begin in late August. Registration at various schools will be underway throughout the month. Rusk High School Rusk High School will register for the new school year from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Thursday, Aug. 11-14.

     Approximately 115 persons attended the annual Cheorkee County Republican Club's July 4 barbecue. The first scholoarship of $500 was awarded to Caroline Clark, Jacksonville High School graduate.
