     Jerry and Joy Meador of Gilmer celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 24. Mr. Meador and the former Joy Faye Halbert were married at Oakland Baptist Church in Rusk May 24, 1958. Their children and spouses are Janet and Roy Cavazoz and Julie and Michael Russell, all of Rusk; Jerilyn and Eric Williams of Hawkinsville, Ga.; and Justin and Travelina Meador of Carthage. They have five granddaughters and two grandsons.
