Rusk wins bi-district battle

      Three errors at inopportune times kept the Lady Panthers close as Rusk battled out a 6-4 win over the Lady Panthers in Thursday's bi-district playoff game held in Elkhart. The Lady Eagles led the game 3-1 before Westwood scored on two errors in the fifth to tie the game 3-3.

Eagles conclude season

      Friday, the Rusk Eagles traveled to Hudson looking to end their season with an upset of the district's top team. Hudson was undefeated heading in to the finale, and Rusk was trying to end a disappointing season on a positive note. The Eagles gave their best effort, getting a solid offensive performance.

Rusk Athletic Banquet set for May 12

      The Rusk High School athletic banquet will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 12 at the Rusk Junior High cafeteria. Before the banquet, starting at 5:30 p.m., everyone is invited to come and meet new Athletic Director Ted Patton. The meet and greet will be held in the Rusk Junior High foyer.
