$260,000 check presented
     The Nan Travis Foundation recently presented a $260,000 check to the East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System, the result of the foundation's fundraising efforts in support of the recently expanded and renovated emergency department at ETMC Jacksonville. Funds were raised through a variety of activities, including the Sunflower Gala, the art show and generous donations from private individuals. Nan Travis Foundation President John Andersen and Nan Travis Foundation Board Member Robert Nichols present the check to ETMC Jacksonville Administrator Jack Endres and ETMC Regional Healthcare System Senior Vice-President Byron Hale.

Registration planned for Rusk Kindergarten, Pre-K students
      Registration for Rusk ISD Kindergarten students for the 2008-09 school year will be held from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Friday, May 9 at the primary school office.
