Rusk basketball teams travel to Carthage tonight
Eagles look for first win, Lady Eagles conclude season
     The Rusk Eagle and Lady Eagle basketball teams travel to Carthage tonight to face the Bulldogs. Sub-varsity action begins at 5 p.m., with the girls JV, girls varsity and boys varsity playing in the main gymnasium. The JV and freshmen boys will play in a practice gymnasium.

     Friday night's game between the Rusk Eagles and the Crockett Bulldogs proves that Rusk's district record of 0-11 is not indicative of a lack of talent. The Eagles played one of the top teams in the state, the Crockett Bulldogs, well into the fourth quarter before falling by a score of 74-62.

     The Unversity Interscholastic League announced the results of it's district realignment Friday morning. The UIL realigns the districts every two years.

Diboll rallies to double-overtime win over Rusk

      After one quarter of play, the Rusk Eagles looked to be well in control of the game against the Diboll Lumberjacks on Jan. 22 at Rusk High School Gymnasium. The Eagles rallied to a 25- 11 lead, with Horrace Lewis shooting perfectly from the free throw line and Quinn Anthony dominating the boards for Rusk.
